Haikyu!! announces 2 final animated films

The Haikyu!! anime will be back with two new movies. The series should conclude with the two Haikyu!! Final movies instead of a fifth season.

It was previously confirmed that Haikyu!! teases the new content with a timer that was supposed to end after the Haikyu!! x V.League Allstar Special Match The Volleyball event. Although it was first believed that the timer was intended for the announcement of Haikyu!! Season 5, it has since been revealed that the timer leads to the movies being announced.

Both Haikyu!! Final the films have yet to receive an official release date. However, it looks like we’ll have to wait at least another year. Following the announcement of the films, it was revealed that the films will have a special launch event in August 2023.

The two-part film will serve as a conclusion to the Haikyu!! animated series. At this point, the show is unlikely to get a fifth season yet.

Haikyu!! is based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate. It follows Shoyo Hinata, a young boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his short stature. The anime premiered in April 2014 and ran for four seasons, with the last one ending in December 2020.

Fans have long believed that Haikyu!! will get a fifth and final season which was only delayed due to COVID-19. However, the final arc of the series will now consist of two major theatrical events that are expected to rival film releases from other anime franchises.

So far, both parties Haikyu!! Final has not received an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
