Best anime shows from 2010 to 2022

Tons and tons of anime are produced every year for all genres by different anime studios. Fans enjoy these anime and move on to another. But, at least one anime is released every year that fans remember for eternity, and it looks like there won’t be another series to come in a thousand years that could match this show’s level of anime.

We know you are a real anime fan and it is very unlikely that you missed any of the series on the list. But still, if there’s even a single series you’ve skipped, we assure you, it’s worth every second you put into it. So, here is our recommendation for the best anime shows released from 2010 to 2022.


1. The angel beats! (2010)

The series received its share of good and bad from critics when it first aired. But generally, the show was highly praised for its multiple elements like great animation, work on small details, and of course, great story. However, having only 13 episodes was the show’s biggest flaw. It didn’t just stop us from enjoying Angel Beats more! but it also leaves several characters’ backstory unexplored. The show revolves around a group of college students who battle a super-powered girl with superpowers at a high school in the afterlife.

2. Hunter X Hunter (2011)

This show is the epitome of the shonen anime genre. The long list of 148 episodes might seem like a lot, but once you start watching it, there’s no turning back. In fact, even with so many episodes, there is no proper conclusion given to its story, which has the potential to annoy viewers. However, the manga of the series has too many chapters which can easily be covered if new episodes were to come out. And interestingly, the long hiatus on the manga is also about to end, as writer Yoshihiro Togashi has started working on new chapters.

3. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012)

The first JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series came out in 2012, and the series lives up to its big name to this day with new releases. The show has an 8.4 rating on IMDB, so it’s easy to conclude how well fans received it. The new part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is releasing in September 2022, so now is the best time to watch the previous parts of the series if you haven’t already. The show revolves around the adventures of the Joestar family, who are blessed with intense psychic powers.

4. Attack on Titan (2013)

It was 2013 when we got our first look at this legendary Hajime Isayama anime. Wit Studio received the work for the show’s animation, and they nailed it in every aspect. The claim that Attack on Titan (AOT) will go down as one of the best anime shows of all time is easily believable. Currently, AOT has a total of 86 episodes, and the series is awaiting the third part of season four, which is slated for release in 2023. Attack on Titan is set in a world where giant humanoid creatures called Titans eat humans. Eren Yeager and his comrades are bent on cleaning up the Titans from Earth.

5. The Seven Deadly Sins (2014)

The Seven Deadly Sins manga began its serialization in 2012 and after fans started loving the series, it had its first anime season in 2014. The show has a hundred episodes in total, spanning all 41 complete volumes of The Seven Deadly Sins. . A group of warriors known as the Seven Deadly Sins are considered the strongest and cruelest group of Holy Knights in the Kingdom of Liones. The group is meant to turn against their own comrades, after which their quest begins to clear their name.

6. One Punch Man (2015)

It was the first time the caped bald guy made his screen debut and earned a special place in our hearts. Saitama is not like other anime characters who get drunk on their own power. He possesses incredible strength and remains the most humble anime character ever. The only problem in Saitama’s life is that he can’t find a worthy enemy who can challenge him. With excellent animation, great characters, intense combat, comedy bits, and more to cherish, One Punch Man is a complete package.

7. Mob Psycho (2016)

Mob Psycho gained more popularity than other major shows released in 2016, such as 91 Days, Bungo Stray Dogs, and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. So, you can imagine how awesome this action-comedy must be. It’s hard to believe that some anime fans haven’t watched the series, but if you haven’t, you’re missing out on something really awesome. Mob is a college boy who wields immense psychic powers. He tries to lead a normal life but constantly finds himself in trouble. The third season of the series will be released in October this year.

8. Black Clover (2017)

Over 17 million copies in circulation as of January 2022, ranked among the top 100 anime of the 2010s, the most-watched show on Crunchyroll in 2020, and tons of awards prove Black Clover’s greatness. Currently, the series has four seasons with 170 episodes in total. There is no news regarding Black Clover season 5, but a movie will be released in 2023. If you also like Black Clover manga, the good news is that the announced 3 month break after chapter 331 is on the way. about to end, and the new chapter will be released on July 31, 2022.

9. Violet Evergarden (2018)

Violet Evergarden only has 13 episodes in total, but it feels like the creators have used every second of the show to its fullest. The animation of the series is simply outstanding. It won Best Animation at the 2019 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The show is about Violet Evergarden, a young ex-soldier who takes the job at the writer’s agency after the Great War ends. Her job is to put people’s thoughts and feelings on paper, which leads her to her own self-discovery.

10. Demon Slayer (2019)

There’s no one reason anyone would hate Demon Slayer. It has a great storyline, animation, soundtrack, and character development that will take you through a perfect journey. After watching the first season of the series, the fans were eagerly waiting for the renewal of the show. Ufotable took a while to create the second season, but what they delivered was out of this world. Especially the Demon Slayer Entertainment District arc. The animation for this arc far exceeded any anime created to date.

11. Jujutsu Kaisen (2020)

Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen sort of work on the same line, a group of experts defeating demons of different levels. But still, there’s a lot more that separates the two shows. With over 65 million copies in circulation, JJK is one of the best-selling manga of all time. Currently, the series has one season with 24 episodes in total, and the fans are desperately waiting for the second season which is expected to release next year. There is no match for the beautifully displayed action scenes in the series. But what makes it even bigger are the little bits of comedy added to lighten the mood.

12. The Tokyo Avengers (2021)

Lots of great anime released in 2021, but Tokyo Revengers has always led the way as the best. Tokyo Revengers manga already had a huge fanbase, but the series gained substantial recognition after its anime adaptation. The second season of the series was greenlit in 2021 but only recently the show was given the January 2023 release window. Hanagaki Takemichi lives an unhappy life and right after an incident he finds himself sent back to the past. Now he must make his life better for himself and for those he loves.

13. Spy Family X (2022)

2022 has yet to see a handful of great anime shows set to release in its final months. But to date, Spy X Family is easily the best of this year’s crop. We hardly get an anime based on spy and undercover missions, and that’s what makes Spy X Family stand out from the crowd. The series follows the life of undercover agent Loid, who is working on a secret mission. As part of his job, Loid created a fake family with Yor Forger as his wife and Anya Forger as his child. Together, they experience various adventures while having their own secrets.
